Many existing buildings still rely on ceiling-mounted luminaires based on TL fluorescent tubes-installed on a massive scale over decades. Since the EU phase-out of these technologies, maintenance has become a growing problem: replacement TL tubes are increasingly unavailable, and the same is true for key spare parts such as ballasts and lampholders. As a result, many “classical” luminaires can no longer be serviced, even when the housing itself is still in good condition.

One-to-One Replacement with NikkoMade to FitDoxis replaces the existing TL luminaire with a new luminaire engineered to fit perfectly into the current ceiling opening. The visible shade and trim are tailored to your needs, so the new installation looks intentional and seamless. You gain a major performance upgrade: typically up to 2× higher efficacy than a TL system, UGR < 19 thanks to an advanced lens concept, and lighting that can be tuned to the space. Output level, beam control, control protocol, colour temperature and CRI, and even the luminaire finish can be specified to match the room. Retrofit Insert with Seamless LinerKeep the Housing, Upgrade the LightInstead of replacing the entire luminaire, Doxis installs a new independent LED insert inside the existing TL fixture. The original housing and reflectors remain in place, so you benefit from the existing mirror optics while dramatically modernising the system. Light output is increased and energy consumption is reduced, because the new source and optics direct virtually all generated light through the luminaire opening—boosting overall system efficacy. Each retrofit is supplied with the correct long-life driver to match the required control system, along with the specified CCT. To make installation straightforward, Doxis has developed a range of dedicated attachment kits that allow the insert to fit into virtually any existing luminaire.
